Biography of late Ibijoke Ayodele Aboderin (1936-2018)

Mrs Ayodele Ibijoke Aboderin was born 15th February 1936 in Lagos Island to Mr Ayodele Lijadu and Mrs Veronica Lijadu (nee George). The 6th and the youngest girl of 8 children - 5 boys and 3 girls. her siblings include Mrs Modupe Anumuyi, Mr Fela Lijadu, Mr Yemi Lijadu, Mrs jumoke enahoro, Mr Yinka Lijadu, Mr Dehinde Lijadu and Mr Ladipo Lijadu. She lived in Lagos Island and started her education at Christ Church Cathedral School Lagos, Princess School, Catholic Mission Street Lagos, New Era College for Girls Lagos, then moved to Abeokuta to stay with her grandmother Mrs Adeline Bona Lijadu (nee Olubi). She moved to Abeokuta grammar school and went to Nigerian College and later to England in 1960 as a western Union government scholarship student to study Physiotherapy in Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy now United Birmingham Hospitals School of Physiotherapy, Birmingham and finished in 1963. Family Reunion of J.O Aboderins Descendants

On Sunday, the 23rd of September 2019 after a successful thanksgiving service of late Mrs Ibijoke Ayodele Aboderin at the All Souls Anglican Church Old Bodija Ibadan Oyo-state Nigeria, all members of the J.O Aboderin from different walks of life gathered together for a family reunion and to further enhance the relationship between the survivng child of J.O Aboderin, grandchildren and great grand children of the family.  Below are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Watch video now The family of late Micheal Akinleye Aboderin buried their mother Mrs Ibijoke Ayodele Aboderin on the 21st of September 2017. Late Micheal Akinleye who was the 3rd child of Late J.O Aboderin passed away in 1991. Ibijoke Ayodele Aboderin (nee Lijadu) fondly called sisi Joke will be missed. Continue to rest in peace ma. Adieu.

This blog is designed to keep memories for the descendants of Joseph Oyelakin  Aboderin who passed on in 1984. J.O Aboderin had 6 children of which 5 are late with only Mr Akinyemi Aboderin the only surviving child of late J.O Aboderin. Mr Akinyemi Aboderin will clock 70 years in November 2018. Joseph Oyelakin also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The purpose of this blog is to continue to keep the memories of the family of late J.O Aboderin alive through its archive of many photographs, videos of events and media materials of the entire family so that children born in to this family will be able to read and get to familiarize with their lineage through memories passed across this platform.
